as a consortium of sound-crafters rather than a plain band, 3 DAYS OF
SILENCE lies upon its three-core nucleus – Faex, AsCl3 and Tom. But
also sees cameos by many talented artists, namely Aort (Code, Blutvial),
John (Blutmond), Pat Bonvin (Near Death Condition), or Vince (Xicon).
aCid (Wulff Kloff, Dark Isle) also crafted an ice-cold trip-hop remix,
as an internet only bonus track.

3
Days Of Silence is a true "revelation"! 3 Days Of Silence is a
Swiss Band that presents a New Wave of hypnotic and fear-injecting Black
Metal. We can call this adaptation of Black Metal as New Wave
because the development of a futuristic direction is the remarkable
point, a development coming from the land of Samael, a land of
innovation concerning BM and Electro and Industrial Post-BM
styles. We are therefore quite far from the second wave of BM,
in a technological world, yet so near from time
to time. If Fenriz stated that "Black Metal is individualism
above all", we can discover a very individualist
band. Cold electronic Ambient and Black Metal are mixed and together
create a world of urban desolation. The debut album
"Sodium/Sulfur", released in December 2013, co-produced by
Drop (Sybreed, This Misery Garden) represents a
dark vision of the social and psychological transformation wed are
living in. The album, created
to fit the LP format, is articulated in two sides, the first one called
"Sodium" and the second called "Sulfur", which are
described this way from the band itself: " Hypnotic riffing and inventive sampling are the trademark of urban construct ‘Sodium, while ‘Sulfur, plunges in an industrial yet melodic black metallic furnace.
" Two chemical elements chosen to frighten, chosen to let us
think.
The
great opener of the Sodium-side, the song Mortality/Normality, cannot indeed be
otherwise described as hypnotic, ambience-oriented, soaked almost in a
kind of "digital" doomy bitterness, where the raspy vocals are the
nearer element of Black Metal, although they are not based on
high-pitched screamings . On the contrary the Sulfur-side is opened
by
Na-tural
S-tate, which is a fierce BM track, although supported by electronic
elements and emebllished by a melodic slow break-down which lets remind
to the atmosphere of Sodium.
The
trend in the BM "furnace" goes on with Verwüstung
(desolation), characterized by a punishing drumming, by the typical dark
raspy vocals of AsCl3, but also by a greatly-paced, memorable
melody. Get now a short yet significative glimpse of the Lyrics of
"Verwüstung" .
I
am Eternity
I
wander the endless tunnel of thoughts of afterlife
I
stand serene
I
rule a world that never will be and never was
The
body of the two different sides are centered each around unusual songs (Ask The Dust
and S.W. MMVII),
my fav is Ask The Dust because the compostion is dark, mesmerizing and
immediately appealing.
Sodium
and Sulfur are closed differently, Sulfur is closed by White Birds which is a mix of
molten lava and sorrowful melody, while the piano based song Consolamentum
closes Sodium and sounds like liquid sorrowful rage, which may
be futuristic , but past-oriented also,
incredibly flavoured beyond space and time.

world full of fear, agony, rage,
sorrow, instrumental engagement and art. Choose your chemical
