A nice evening. The
Neugasshof is a Rockbar, which is located at Neugasse in Zurich City for 35
years. Earlier
this local belonged to Hells Angels. Meanwhile the venue is a restaurant and
a Rockbar too. Not
far away is the legendary and notorious Langstrasse, the red light district
of Zurich City in the fourth borrow. This
borrow is better known as „Chreis Cheib“. Recently
Rock- and Metal concerts take place at Neugasshof. The entrance is free, but
there’s a collection for the bands. Fortunately
the Swiss Death Metal band Abgrund
and the German Thrash Metal band Destination
Hell were booked for this time. I attended this event, because Abgrund are known for good shows and convinced me at the Rockfact
show in Münchenstein. We
arrived early at the Neugasshof venue after a ride without trouble with the Abgrund
band members. The doors opened on 7 PM and Destination
Hell should’ve opened on 9 PM. Instead of opening, they started
performin‘ 30 minutes later with „The Full Force“. That wasn’t so
bad, because about 20 Metal fans were
in the venue and liked the music. The Thrash Metal band from Lörrach with
singer Manuel Hammann performed for the first time in Zurich City. In
Addition it was their first show after 1.5 years. They scored with powerful
Thrash Metal and earned much applause. Three new songs „Ghetto War“,
„The Savior“ and „No Empathy“ were introduced to the audience. Before
„Ghetto War“ got played, singer Manuel Hammann said ironically „I feel
in the ghetto“. „The white line“ marked the end of the show and Destination Hell wanted leave. But the spectators weren’t
satisfied and asked for more. „The Full Force“ got played once again,
because there were no more songs to perform. The Destination
Hell members said goodbye to the enthusiastic Metal fans. Playlist Destination

Full Force Abgrund
was the last in line after a short interruption. This band isn’t only
active in the Swiss Metal scene for 15 years, they also have a new singer
called Rolf Bamler. His predecessor Stefan Gehri switched to the guitar and
supports him with background vocals. They
opened with „Life Hard Die Fast“ on 10:45 PM. Tight spacial conditions
made it difficult for moving. But it wasn’t necessary. The music speaks
for itself. Singer Rolf Balmer shows his whole range of Death Metal screams
and growls while the guitar players Heinz Lauper and Stefan Gehri cover the
audience with guitar riffs and support singer Rolf Balmer vocally. Bass
player Maja Grauwiler performs well with drummer Ronny Herren, what proves
that the band chemistry is alright. Five
new songs called „Dämonen“, „Disturbing Behavior“, „Blackened“,
„Das Leid“ and „For those“ were introduced to the audience. Older
songs like „Pain of Death“ and „Final Desination“ were also included
in the playlist. The performance ended after 60 minutes with „K-Planet“.
Abgrund did a great show and
convinced the spectators from the beginning until the end. Playlist

in all, it was a nice evening with good music. Unfortunately there was
another Metal event in Zurich city and not a lot of people showed up. Thank
goes out to Neugasshof venue and Swiss Attack for the concert.

Ein toller Abend. Der
Neugasshof ist eine Rockbar, die sich seit 35 Jahren an der Neugasse in der
Stadt Zürich befindet. Früher war dieses Lokal in den Händen der Hells
Angels, aber mittlerweile ist es ein Restaurant und Rockbar. Nicht weit
davon entfernt befindet sich die legendäre und berüchtige Langstrasse, das
Rotlichtviertel der Stadt Zürich im Kreis vier. Dieser Kreis wird
umgangssprachlich „Chreis Cheib“ genannt. Seit
kurzem finden im Neugasshof Rock- und Metal Konzerte statt. Es gibt keinen
Eintritt, sondern Kollekten zugunsten der Bands werden gesammelt. Glücklicherweise
wurde dieses Mal die Schweizer Death Metal Band Abgrund
neben der Deutschen Thrash Metal Band Destination
Hell gebucht. Weil Abgrund für
gute Konzerte bekannt sind und mich damals bei ihrem Auftritt im Club
Rockfact in Münchenstein überzeugen konnten, war ich bei ihrem heutigen
Auftritt anwesend. Nach
einer reibungslosen Fahrt nach Zürich trafen die Abgrund
Bandmitglieder und ich früh im Neugasshof ein. Um 19 Uhr war Türöffnung
und um 21 Uhr hätten Destination
Hell auftreten sollen. Stattdessen fingen sie mit „The Full Force“
30 Minuten später an. Das war gar nicht mal so schlecht, denn es waren ca.
20 Metal Fans anwesend, denen die Musik gefiel. Die Lörracher Thrasher um
Frontmann Manuel Hammann traten zum ersten Mal in der Stadt Zürich auf.
Ausserdem war es ihr erstes Konzert seit eineinhalb Jahren. Mit ihrem
druckvollen Thrash Metal konnten sie bei den Zuschauern punkten und ernteten
dafür viel Applaus. Mit „Ghetto War“, „The Savior“ und „No
Empathy“ wurden drei neue Lieder vorgestellt. Bevor „Ghetto War“
gespielt wurde, meinte Sänger Manuel Hammann ironisch „Ich fühle mich
wie im Ghetto“. Nach
„The white line“ war das reguläre Set durch und Destination
Hell wollte die Bühne verlassen. Jedoch machte ihnen das Publikum einen
Strich durch die Rechnung und verlangte eine Zugabe. Weil keine weiteren
Songs mehr vorhanden waren, wurde „The Full Force“ erneut gespielt und
die Destination Hell Mitglieder
verabschiedeten sich von den begeisterten Metal Fans. Setlist Destination

einer kurzen Pause waren Abgrund als letzte Band an der Reihe. Die Band ist nicht nur seit
15 Jahren in der Schweizer Metal Szene aktiv, sondern hat mit Rolf Balmer
einen neuen Sänger in ihren Reihen aufgenommen. Vorgänger Stefan Gehri
wechselte zur Gitarre und unterstützt mit Hintergrundgesang. Mit „Life
Hard Die Fast“ eröffneten sie um 22:45 Uhr ihr Set. Aufgrund der engen
Platzverhältnisse im Neugasshof konnte man sich nicht viel bewegen, aber
das ist nicht nötig. Die Musik spricht für sich selbst. Sänger Rolf
Balmer zeigt sein volles Repertoire an Death Metal Schreie und Growls während
die Gitarristen Heinz Lauper und Stefan Gehri die Zuschauer mit Riffs
eindecken und Frontmann Rolf Balmer stimmlich unterstützen. Bassistin Maja
Grauwiler spielte rhythmisch gut mit Schlagzeuger Ronny Herren zusammen, was
zeigt dass die Band auf ein gutes Fundament gebaut ist. Mit
„Dämonen“, „Disturbing Behavior“, „Blackened“, „Das Leid“
und „For those“ wurden gleich fünf neue Songs gespielt. Daneben fanden
ältere Stücke wie „Pain of Death“ und „Final Destination“ ihren
Platz ins Set. Nach einer Stunde Spielzeit endete ihr Auftritt mit
„K-Planet“. Abgrund zeigten
eine starke Leistung und überzeugten die Zuschauer von Anfang bis Ende. Setliste

war es ein toller Abend mit guter Musik. Leider waren wegen einem anderen
Metal Konzert in der Stadt Zürich wenig Zuschauer anwesend. Danke
an den Neugasshof und Swiss Attack für das Konzert.

Neugasshof es un Rockbar que se encuentra desde hace 35 años en la Neugasse
en la ciudad de Zúrich. Anteriormente este local estuvo en manos de los
Hells Angels, pero ahora es un restaurante y Rockbar. No muy lejos
del Neugasshof está la famosa y legendaria «calle Larga» (Langstrasse),
el barrio rojo de la ciudad de Zúrich en el distrito cuatro. Este distrito
es llamado familiarmente «Chreis Cheib». Desde
hace un tiempo tienen lugar conciertos de Rock y Metal en el Neugasshof. No
hay que pagar entrada, sólo hay una colecta a beneficio de las bandas. Por
suerte esta vez la banda suiza de Death Metal Abgrund
estuvo al lado de los alemanes Destination
Hell una banda de Thrash Metal. Como Abgrund
es conocido por sus buenos conciertos y como a mí me gustó su actuación
en el Rockfact de Münchenstein , hoy he estado presente en dicha actuación. Después
de un viaje sin problemas a Zúrich me encontré con los miembros de la
banda Abgrund
en el Neugasshof. Las puertas se abrieron a las siete de la tarde y la banda
Destination Hell debería haber empezado a tocar a las nueve de la
noche. Sin embargo, empezaron con «The Full Force» treinta minutos más
tarde. Eso no fue un problema para los cerca de 20 fans de Metal presentes,
a los que les gusta esta música. La banda Thrash Metal de Lörrach con el
cantante Manuel Hammann actuaron en la ciudad de Zúrich por primera vez.
Además fue su primer concierto desde hace un año y medio. Su Thrash Metal
con garra gustó a la audiencia y por ello consiguieron muchos aplausos.
Presentaron las nuevas canciones «Ghetto War», «The Savior» y «No
Empathy». El cantante Manuel Hammann dijo irónicamente antes de «Ghetto
War» «Me siento como en un ghetto». Con «The white line» se acababa el
concierto, pero el público pidió más canciones. Como no había más
repertorio, la banda tocó de nuevo «The Full Force». Los miembros de Destination
Hell se despidieron de los entusiasmados fans de Metal. Lista

de una corta pausa Abgrund fue la
última banda en actuar. La banda está activa en la escena de Metal desde
hace 15 años pero además tiene un nuevo cantante Rolf Balmer. Su antecesor
Stefan Gehri tocaba la guitarra y acompañaba como voz de fondo. «Life Hard
Die Fast» fue la primera canción a las once menos cuarto de la noche.
Debido a las estrechas condiciones de espacio no nos podíamos mover mucho
pero no era necesario. La música hablaba por sí sola. El cantante Rolf
Balmer mostró su completo repertorio de Gritos de Death Metal y Growls
mientras que los guitarristas Heinz Lauper y Stefan Gehri deleitaban a la
audiencia con sus Riffs y apoyaban al cantante Rolf Balmer con sus voces de
fondo. La bajista Maja Grauwiler marcaba el ritmo con el bateria Ronny
Herren. Eso significa que la banda tiene una base sólida. Presentaron
las nuevas canciones «Dämonen», «Disturbing Behavior», «Blackened» «Das
Leid» y «For those» y junto a las ya conocidas como «Death of Pain» y
«Final Destination» fueron parte de la lista de canciones. Con «K-Planet»
se terminó el espectáculo
después de una hora de actuación. Abgrund
brindó un buen espectáculo y se ganó al público del principo al fin. Lista

general, fue una gran noche con buena música. Lamentablemente había otro
concierto de Metal en la ciudad de Zúrich y esa fue la razón por la que
asistieron pocos espectadores al concierto en el Neugasshof. Gracias
a Neugasshof y Swiss Attack por el concierto.
