Monster Sounds is a label, which organises concerts in City of Olten. There’s a concert once a month. The aim of Monster Sounds is to give opportunities to perform for bands with musical style in rock/harcore/metal/punk. Furthermore to arrange solid concert series at favourable conditions. Behind the non-profit association acting people from Mad Santa OK, rock development association DryBrain and Coq d’Or. At present the Coq d’Or is shut down and the concerts take place in the venue Provisorium 8.

By chance I came upon a flyer for tonight and visited the venue Provisorium 8. The doors opened on 9 PM. You could head toward the stage after you paid the entry.

A World  of Failed History opened the evening with Progressive Metalcore. The band from Basel exists about a year but you don’t notice it. They captived the audience after the first song „Inquisition“. The spectators enthusiastically applauded after every song. A loud scream of misunderstanding was goin’ through the audience when the Deftones cover „My Own Summer“ was announced as last song. The spectators asked for more. In view of the positive feedback „Shipwreck“ became the last song and A World  of Failed History left the stage, to roaring applause. Singer Sebastian Sonntag thanked all spectators for showin‘ up.

After a short interruption, Falling Down entered the stage. The Metalcore band from Geneva played in Olten for the first time they were grateful playin‘ a concert. They kicked ass from the start, the audience had been shrinked but it didn’t harm the atmosphere. You can highlight their professional performance despite less spectators. Furthermore they gave away free CD’s to the spectators. A good show from the Genevans.

Headliner Clawerfield entered the stage on 11:35 PM. The Industrial Groove metal band from Thun waked up the audience and scored with their heavy sonic brew. A loud „No!“ occured after singer Patrick Schmid asked „Are you tired?“. Moshing started and Santa Clause and his companion Schmutzli visited the show and had fun too. The spectators applause. „Come a light“ should’ve been the last song after 30 minutes performing. However you hadn’t seen not enough. „I.S.S“ pumped out the speakers as first encore and Clawerfield wanted leave the stage. Damn wrong! The spectators asked for another encore and were becomin’ louder. „Redemption“ followed.

Monster Sounds ist ein Label, welches in der Stadt Olten Konzerte organisiert. Einmal im Monat findet ein Konzert statt. Ziel ist es, Bands der Stilrichtungen Rock/Hardcore/Metal/Punk eine Plattform zu bieten und eine solide Konzertreihe für einen bescheidenen Eintrittspreis aufzubauen. Hinter dem Verein Monstersounds stehen unter anderem Leute aus dem Mad Santa OK, des Rockfördervereins DryBrain und dem Coq d’Or. Weil der Club Coq d’Or derzeit geschlossen ist, finden die Konzerte im Club Provisorium 8 statt.

Durch Zufall stiess ich auf einen Flyer für den heutigen Abend und stattete dem Provisorium 8 einen Besuch ab. Die Türen öffneten sich um 21 Uhr. Nachdem der Eintritt bezahlt wurde, ging es in Richtung Bühne.

A World  of Failed History eröffneten den Abend mit Progressive Metalcore. Die Basler Band existiert seit einem Jahr, aber davon spürt man überhaupt nichts. Schon nach dem ersten Song „Inquisition“ ist das Publikum auf ihrer Seite. Nach jedem Lied folgte Applaus von den Zuschauern. Als mit dem Cover vom Deftones Klassiker „My Own Summer“ das Ende vom Auftritt angekündigt wurde, folgte ein lauter Aufschrei. Die Zuschauer wollten mehr hören. Aufgrund der positiven Resonanz erklang mit „Shipwreck“ das letzte Lied und A World  of Failed History verliessen die Bühne unter tosendem Applaus. Sänger Sebastian Sonntag bedankte sich bei den Zuschauern für ihr zahlreiches Erscheinen.

Nach einer kurzen Umbaupause durften Falling Down ran. Die Genfer Metalcore Kapelle gastierte zum ersten Mal in der Stadt Olten und war dankbar live spielen zu können. Von Anfang an gaben sie Vollgas, aber das Publikum war zwischenzeitlich geschrumpft was der guten Stimmung keinen Abbruch tat. Was ihnen positiv angerechnet werden kann ist die professionelle Performance trotz wenigen Zuschauern. Ausserdem wurden gratis CD’s an die Zuschauer verteilt. Ein guter Auftritt von den Genfern.

Um 23:35 Uhr betrat Headliner Clawerfield die Bühne. Die Thuner Industrial Groove Metaller rüttelten das Publikum wach und konnten mit ihrer deftigem Klanggemisch ordentlich punkten. Auf Patrick Schmids Frage „Seid ihr müde?“, folgte ein lautes „Nein!“. Gemoshe folgte und Santa Klaus wohnte dem Konzert bei und hatte ebenfalls seinen Spass. Die Zuschauer bedankten sich mit viel Applaus. Nach 30 Minuten hätte mit „Come to Light“ das letzte Lied den Abschluss einläuten sollen. Jedoch hatte man noch lange nicht genug gesehen. Mit „I.S.S“ erklang die erste Zugabe und Clawerfield wollten danach die Bühne verlassen. Falsch gedacht! Die Zuschauer verlangten erst recht nach einer weiteren Zugabe und wurden immer lauter. Dies wurde gewährt mit „Redemption“.

Danach war Schluss und alle Zuschauer waren zufrieden.

Monster Sounds es una etiqueta, que organiza conciertos en la ciudad de Olten. Hay conciertos una vez al mes. La meta es ofrecer una plataforma para las bandas de Rock/Hardcore/Metal/Punk y crear una serie de conciertos con un precio modesto de entrada. Detràs de la organizacion sin animos de lucro Monster Sounds, hay gente activa de Mad Santa, la asociacion para el desarrollo del rock DryBrain y el Coq d’Or. Los conciertos, ahora, lugan en el club Provisorium 8, porque el club Coq d’Or fue clausurado.

De casualidad, descrubi el folleto para esta noche y voy visitando el Provisorium 8. Las puertas se abrieron à las nueves de la noche. Después de abonar la entrada te podias acercar al escenario.

A World  of Failed History. Dieron comienzo a la velada con metalcore progressivo. La banda basilea existe desde hace un año, pero se no nota. Cautivaron al publico desde la primera cancion « Inquisition ». El publico aplaudia entusiasmado al término de cada cancion. Gritos de incomprension provenian de la audiencia, cuando anunciaron como ultimo tema el cover de Deftones « My Own Summer » Los espectadores pedian por mas. En vista de la respuesta positiva, «Shipwreck », se convirtió en la ultima cancion.

A World Failed of History dejo el escenario con fuertes aplausos del publico. El Cantante Sebastian Sonntag agradeciò à los espectadores por su presencia.

Tras una breve pausa Falling Down llegó al escenario. Para la banda de Metalcore proveniente de Ginebra fue la primera vez que tocaron en la ciudad de Olten y estaban muy agradecidos. Patearon traseros desde el comienzo. El publico disminuyó, pero la atmosfera continuó siendo la misma. Se puede destacar su performance profesional a pesar de la poca audiencia. Luego regalaron Cds a los espectadores. Un buen show de los ginebreses.

La banda cabeza de cartel, Clawerfield, entra la escena a las 11 :35 PM. La banda de Metal groove Industrial proveniente de Thun levantó al publico con su sonido demoledor. Un gran No!» se escucho en respuesta a la pregunta de Patrick Schmid de «Estan ustedes cansados?». El mosh comenzo y San Nicolas junto con su compañero Schmutzli visitaron el show y disfrutaron del concierto. Los espectadores aplaudieron. Su canción «Come to Light» deberia haber sido su ultimo tema despues de 30 minutos de Show. Sin embargo, no hemos visto lo suficiente. «I.S.S.» exploto a traves de los altavoces dando inicio al primer Bis. Clawerfield iba a salir de escena. Claro que No! Los espectadores pidieron por otro bis, haciendose cada vez mas ruidosos. Siguieron con «Redemption».
