Rabid dimension of Thrash.

Italian Thrashers Irreverence, born in 1995 from am idea of Ricky Paioro, have finally opened the door to success, after much work and dedication. The constancy and determination of Irreverence has been incredible, the way of playing and singing is full European standard, which is also sign of the talented Italian Metal scene. And the music is a fist in the teeth, result of many influences, among which clearly Sodom and Kreator, but above all fruit of experience and many live concerts. The band got already a big spotlight in 2003/2005 (TITANS OF THRASH 2004, METAL CAMP 2005) also promoted by Necrotorture Agency  and working with Harris Johns (Sodom, Kreator, Sepultura).  2007  the band share the stage with Entombed, Cataract, Volbeat. In 2008 the band played the great event Milano Thrash Fest. In 2009 Irreverence appeared as support act of Sodom and Tankard and signs a deal with Austrian label Noisehead Records., preparing the 4th studio work, "Upon These Ashes" that now we all can enjoy, successor of "War Was Won".

"Upon These Ashes" contains 10 aggressive tracks, because Irreverence is aggression in German style mixed with personal reinterpretation and also a certain vein for experimentation in the fast pace changes and different patterns of violence . The songs are very acid and brutal, played with technical skillfulness. Pace ranges from fast rhythm to midtempo. Vocals are class, only thy should be more varied, although from time to time emphasized by echo effects.

The opener Not One Of Them is already formed with very cruel percussive riffs, in which the typical  Thrash pace is hold fast and contrasts with break down-hook lines but this construction can be heard in Nothing On My Mind . Chugging but brutal sound for the fast  riffs of the second track The Sheperd Dog which also  contains anyway slower  break down moments. Hands Of Hate is a beast where the usual fierce accelerating feeling is broken by a more percussive and hammering thrashy pace and an unpredictable melodic bridge. Extreme aggression in the mosh monster The Truth Mask sustained by sparkling drumming and diversified guitar works. Echoes Of War featuring Tom Angelripper is the best song with much of early Metallica in the solid rhythmic. But also Repentance Of God is very interesting, an authentic blizzard of hate. The  strong, mature Destructive Deviation an d Vengeance are  the songs that could appeal the most the European people, moreover Vengeance is my fav together with Instinct Of Death which is fabulous, is violent thrash and cool melodic inserts: the ideal last song of the album. It seems that this album puts at the same time order and disorder, chaos and rigorous discipline, moreover oft some very good  riffs take form in the inferno, and when they appear, as for example in Instinct Of Death, is like the apparition of gold in a mine. This is a rabid dimension of thrash, with the same underground and raw timbre of the 80's but with a modern, irreverent re-visitation. Therefore i can suggest this album only to expert metalheads that are able to separate the past from the present.
