A  strong  Lamb of God  touch.

Pigskin is a Swiss five piece Thrash’n’core band from Swiss Canton of Schwyz. They left a mark with their great records “Epidemic” and “Exposed to Threat” and became nationwide known for kickass shows. That’s why they could share the stages with acts like Testament, Napalm Death, Lamb of God, Darkane, Murphys Law, Soulfly and many more.

In 2010 the band about charismatic singer Dani Forrer issued their record “The Never Ending Black”.

This CD was recorded at the Thunderfartstudio in Siebnen, Swiss Canton of Schwyz in spring 2010. Pigskin produced the whole record and the well-known Swiss producer V.O. Pulver cared about the Mix and the Mastering in his Little Creek Studios in Gelterkinden, Swiss Canton of Basel-Country. He’s the reason why you get the catchy tunes on “The Never Ending Black”. Non Stop Music Records distributes their stuff in Switzerland.

Well, their music reminds me a little bit of modern Thrash Metal with some Metalcore and Groove elements. If you listen carefully to the songs, you might notice the influences of Pantera, As I Lay Dying or Lamb of God. Mostly, I hear a strong Lamb of God touch and that’s why Pigskin is like a Swiss version of above mentioned band. But they are no rip-off!

Personal for me, the highlights on this record are the kick ass tracks “Order Of Damnation“, „153 Divisions“, „Travel To The Liver“ and „Slave Of Darkness”. I can recommend ‘em.

If you are into music like Metalcore, Groove Metal, Neo Thrash Metal and you call Pantera, As I Lay Dying and Lamb of God your faves, then you have to support this band! Buy their record and go to one of their shows! You won’t regret it!
