              There
was also time for social criticism.
               The
event “Resurrection of the Street Jungle” was organised by
Tersicore Booking Agency from Basel in order to breathe new life
into the Basel area. The people are a little bit frustrated at the
moment, because there isn’t much goin’ on in alternative music
except the Darkest Hour and Everytime I Die shows. Despite the bad
weather, I was lookin’ forward to this event and mobilised two
colleagues, who went to Villa Rosenau either.

               Spit
              Your Hate
from France was the first act. The Hardcore Punk band from Mühlhausen
(French Mulhouse) with 80% former Scumshot members kicked ass from
the start and served a heavy Hardcore / Metal cocktail with
elements from Hatebreed, Suicidal Tendencies, Biohazard, Slayer
and Pantera. Singer Panda with blue bandana got always in touch
with the crowd during the show and asked them for singin’
together. The guitar tunes from Ludo & J-L were so catchy,
that you had to move. Standin’ around wasn’t possible. Panda
stepped to the drums at one of the last songs and created tribal
sounds with drummer Marceau. This reminded of Sepultura. The
Alsatians scored on the whole line. Hopefully, they come back to
              Switzerland for further shows.

from Basel was the next act after a short break. A break was
initiated by the band and today was their first show since
December 2011. Meanwhile, the Villa was crowded and that was great
for singer Sebi and his band members. The focus was on tracks from
their current record “Human Progress” when a new untitled
track was introduced to the spectators for the very first time.
The song “1356” was dedicated to an earthquake. At that time
it devastated Basel City. There was a lot of moshin’ and singer
Sebi went on a short crowd surfin’ trip. Their music was well
received by the Metal heads as well as the Hardcore fans what you
              recognized during the standing ovations.

              but not least Honour Your
Pain stepped on the stage. The British from Bristol convinced
with a symbiosis of Breakdowns and Hardcore, which made the fans
doin’ two steps dance moves. But there was enough space for a
              mosh pit and circle pit.

               There
was also time for social criticism and singer Nick Clay used
“Face to Concrete” as a statement and complained about the
unfair system in United Kingdom. Poor people kick the bucket and
nobody cares and the rich get richer.

               The
              oustandin’ performance of Honour
Your Pain ended on midnight. In my opinion, Honour Your Pain
is one of the best Hardcore bands from United Kingdom. After the
show, you could buy T-Shirts from the British.
