They
had gone back in time.
I
was really excited about the organisation and the hospitality from
the Iron T21 team after the last event. This organiser team, which
started with Rock and Metal concerts in Swiss canton of Basel land
last year convinced with professionalism.
Lately,
I saw an ad of a new concert with Tubekillers
and The Restless on
the Atelier 21 website. I decided to visit this event, because the
reason was the positive experience from last time.
The
spectators, who arrived just in time, were informed by member
Peter Berger that a third band called Burning
Fuses from Bern City, the Capital City of Switzerland and
Swiss canton of Bern was added to the billing.
This
band from Bern became the first live act. The audience got rocked
by their mixture of Rock, Grunge and Punk. Honestly, I have to
admit that you couldn’t deny that some Post Hardcore elements
from Helmet have been included in the music and it got a certain
touch.
The
show took 40 minutes and the band thanked for the chance to play a
show in Swiss canton of Basel land. Well, the audience awaked but
showed demeanor behaviour.

Tubekillers
broke the ice and convinced with Foo Fighters influenced
Alternative Rock. It wasn’t only the guitar tunes but also
singer Shiro, who reminded vocally a little bit of Dave Grohl.
Even some Funk music elements got added to one track and nobody
expected this surprise. Tubekillers convinced with their music of different genres and the
audience showed standing ovations.

The Restless appeared
late on stage. But the performance was awesome! From the beginning
you felt like they had gone back in time with a time machine and
learnt their skills from the big acts like Black Sabbath,
Metallica, Motörhead, ZZ Top and AC/DC. The show also convinced
with catchy guitar tunes by singer and guitar player Lukas Franz.
This
guy unleashed a passion during the whole time what I only have
witnessed at concerts of 80’s Rock legends. Song “Free” was
dedicated to all spectators and who hate workin’ on Mondays. It
continued on the same level with the anti school track
“Schoolhouse Rock”. This version was changed a little bit from
Elvis Presley classic “Jailhouse Rock”.
“On
the Run” got played as encore and after that the lights went
out.
That
was an outstanding performance! Let’s see what the future might
bring!

Well,
the show was over. A great evening with much music ended and it
was hard goin’ home.
Nachdem
letzten Event im Atelier 21 war ich schwer begeistert von der
Organisation und Gastfreundschaft vom Iron T21 Team. Mit hohem
Mass an Professionalität glänzte dieses Veranstalter Team,
welches seit dem letzten Jahr mit Rock und Metal Konzerten im
Kanton Baselland aufwartet.
Neulich
stiess ich auf der Atelier 21 Homepage auf ein Inserat von einem
neuen Konzert mit Tubekillers und The Restless.
Aufgrund der positiven Erfahrung vom letzten Mal entschloss ich
mich das Ganze anzusehen.
Pünktlich
vor Ort erfuhren die früh eingetroffenen Zuschauer von Mitglied
Peter Berger, dass mit Burning
Fuses aus der Hauptstadt Bern eine dritte Band kurzerhand
ihren Weg ins Billing fand.
Diese
Berner Band durfte um 20:45 Uhr den Abend eröffnen. Mit ihrer
Mischung aus Grunge Rock und Punk wurde dem Publikum eingeheizt.
Wobei ich auch ehrlich gesagt gestehen muss, dass einige Post
Hardcore Elemente von Helmet ebenfalls nicht zu überhören waren
und dem ganzen einen speziellen Touch verlieh. 40 Minuten lang
wurde gerockt und zu guter letzt bedankte man sich für die Chance
im Kanton Baselland spielen zu dürfen. Mit ihrem guten Auftritt
wurde das Publikum zwar warm, aber zeigte sich noch reserviert.

hingegen vermochten das Eis zu brechen und überzeugte mit
Alternative Rock bei dem die Foo Fighters oft durchschimmerte.
Dies lag nicht nur an den Riffs, sondern auch an Sänger Shiro,
welcher vom Organ her ein wenig an Dave Grohl erinnerte. Auch
einige Funkmusik Elemente fanden ihren Weg in eine Nummer und
sorgte für eine Überraschung mit der niemand gerechnet hatte.
Mit ihrer Musik aus verschiedensten Genres überzeugten Tubekillers und bekamen Applaus vom Publikum.

The Restless trat zu später
Stunde der Headliner auf. Und was die Jungs boten, war einfach nur
sensationell! Man hatte von Anfang an das Gefühl als wären sie
mit einer Zeitmaschine in die Vergangenheit gereist und hätten
bei den grossen Acts wie Black Sabbath, Metallica, Motörhead, ZZ
Top und AC/DC ihr Handwerk erlernt. Abgerundet wurde der Auftritt
von catchigen Gitarrenriffs von Frontmann Lukas Franz. Dieser
zeigte auch während der ganzen Zeit eine Leidenschaft, welche ich
bisher höchstens bei den 80er Rocklegenden gesehen hatte.
Durch
den Song „Free“, der allen Zuschauern gewidmet wurde, die es
ankotzt am Montag arbeiten zu gehen, konnten sie für einen
lustigen Moment sorgen. Im gleichen Stile ging es weiter mit dem
Anti-Schullied „Schoolhouse Rock“, einer leicht abgeänderten
Version von Elvis Presley’s „Jailhouse Rock“ wurde dann
ordentlich nachgelegt ehe mit der Zugabe „On The Run“ Schluss
war.
Mit
diesem Hammerauftritt konnten sie ihre Fanbase erweitern. Mal
sehen was die Zukunft bringt!
