Formed in the summer of 2010 in Southern Italy, The Strigas debuted with a self produced EP containing the songs 'Sometimes' and 'Falling Down', aired by many local radio stations and web radios and giving the band the exposure they needed to start growing a following and attracting the interest of several record labels. 
In 2011 they signed to Southern Brigade Records and started playing countless shows around the country, sharing the stage with notable acts such as Reckless Love, Ektomorf, Steve Hewitt, Adimiron, Dragonhammer and many more.   
In 2013 some of their songs were chosen tobe included in the official soundtrack of the movie 'The Crow: Shreds Of Memories', directed by P.Cinieri.
The band's long-waited debut full length album 'A Poisoned Kiss To Reality' will be released in February 2014. It was recorded, mixed and mastered at Golem Dungeon Studios by Giuseppe Dentamaro (Golem, Backjumper, Godyva) and features a special guest appearance by Godyva keyboardist Botys in the song 'Falling Down'.

Italian Finnish Rock

The debut album of this Italian band is a pleasant surprise for all Goth Rock fans, those who love Modern Hard Rock tunes mixed to romantic visions!

Most of you should think…it’s the same old stuff! I can assure you that it isn’t! This band has the potentials to enhance and a good beginning bodes well! I am not saying that this is an original sound, sure we’re in presence of a classic gothic rock, that I’d define Italian Finnish rock! The inspiration is Finnish, but the deep feeling is typical Italian, the melodies of this album get inspiration from a lot Italian ones …
The single “Falling Down” is the proof! A very catchy song ! A successful melody in which the band shows great ideas for what concern the search of captivating mood; Fabio shows great ability with his voice, it’s not the usual low one; he’s able to sing into a very medium-high range and give emphasis to all the songs!
The guitars approach blends Hard Rock inspiration to Modern Rock in a very great way, not only for the distortion and effects used, but I’m saying about the style, and it’s in perfect harmony with the music and the melodies of the band.

Almost all the songs get a good standard level , in which the band finds great solution thanks to the perfect use of synth & keyboards which creates great atmospheres and gives an add value to the product! Not the usual pad effect (early Him ) but a few of effects & electronic stuff never misused , who creates emphasis to the music.
A great job made by rhythmic session “completes the picture” of this debut album !
Not all songs get the same charm, but I can’t but underline great melodies like the already mentioned single “Falling Down” or “Sometimes” who gets an unbelievable sad and melancholic approach, the Modern Hard Rock of “Sweet Bitterness” , the absolutely modern “Dream Again” who seems to join Gothic Rock/Metal to Alternative in a very good way!

One of my favourite is the last song of the album called “Fade Away” that in my opinion together with the single of the band portrays the essence of this band.
Romantic, captivating, melancholic, modern but with an eye to Old Hard Rock….this is the debut album of The Strigas! A very good beginning for this band!
