very interesting vocal parts full of emotions.

Following the style of the great “Rhapsody of Fire”, VOA comes back with an album that is based on the search of a mixture between classic power metal and that typical epic-symphonic approach that puts in evidence arranging qualities. The band laso presents the new singer Maxi Nil  that duets with Mario Plank: The good skills of this couple give an important mark to this album, which is supported by good musicians that confirm  what was shown in the previous albums. I’m sure that the band has found its own way for the future.

An important plaudit for the quality and the mood created by many songs; The structure of the songs is based on power metal style but I like the use of keyboard , able to  be the plus value of the band; In my personal opinion the use of typical power metal style concerning rhythmic session  doesn’t always fit to the whole song’s atmosphere…but this is my very personal opinion.

From Rhapsody of Fire to Sonata Artica...Visions of Atlantis doesn’t  even disdain Nightwish influence in their music …
The ballad “Reflection” is an amazing song in which the band shows these Nightwish influences together with the ability to make a lot of harmonies into a special mood, sung with the sweetness of the female singer…
One of my favourite song is “Conquest Of Others” that shows a good use of vocals into very articulated structures in which the atmosphere is made by a very impressing work through keyboards & rhythmic session!!! There are incredible parts that could remind of movie-soundtracks!!!

“Twist Of Fate” is more classic and gets an easy-listening power metal approach with the wounderful female voice that gives the magic touch.

Due to  line up changes, the band can still improve and for me this album is an important gateway for further developments in particular for what concerns the whole songs’ atmosphere  that is not always at the top. But surely we find in "Delta" interesting compositions in which the duets between the singers deliver very interesting vocal parts full of emotions; in particular I underline that Maxi's vocals are very involving ; she’s able to take out a very incredible passion from her voice…she’s the “winning move” for the band!!!

8/10
