This year's  edition of the Meh Suff! Winter-Festival has been a great event: sold out, headlined by nothing less than legendary Paradise Lost, blessed by one of the best European metal scenes with people coming from many corners of the old continent, characterized by that typical intimate atmosphere that always has made and makes the two Meh Suff! Festivals (the Winter and the Summer one) absolute unique: competent , well organized yet easy going. We can say that since long time  the Meh Suff! Winter -Festival is the Swiss big highlight of the beginning of the new Death/Black Metal season each year, and this year too has been a success. The line up of both days gathers important local Swiss bands as well as major international combos. The stage of the mythical Dynamo Saal in Zürich has been hit indeed by Dismember, Grave, Paradise Lost. On both days the crowd was rapid growing, so all bands were followed and highly supported. Paradise Lost have played a super concert that was anyway matter of discussion among the fans who attended:  people in front of lead guitarist Greg Mackintosh have perceived the lead guitar's sound a bit too loud if compared with the vocals and with the other instruments. On the contrary  the remaing two-thirds  of the  full concert room have enjoyed the PL concert at the fullest with no complains about the sound. Personally, I was anyway mesmerized by the roaring sound of Greg's guitar, as well as by the strong rhythmics from Aaron Aedy, Steve Edmondson and drummer Waltteri Väyrynen (Bloodbath, Vallenfyre) and I was fully convinced about Nick Holmes' self confidence and performance.  Lastly I give a big shout out to the Swiss Mnemocide. Born from the ashes of melodeath Darkmoon, Mnemocide have maintained the musical appeal that Darkmoon had with just more energy and a hard pounding sound. Mnemocide's stuff impacts greatly live. Just go check out them (https://www.facebook.com/Mnemocide/).
