"Ghost Opera" which will hit stores on these dates:

"Ghost Opera" will be KAMELOT's third release via SPV/Steamhammer Records.

"Ghost Opera" was recorded and mixed at Gate Studios and Pathway Studios in Wolfsburg, Germany with producers Sascha Paeth and Miro. Artwork was handled by Mattias Norén with contributions by Alexandra V. Bach, Liliana Sanchez and Derek Gores. A limited-edition digipack version of the CD will include the bonus cut "The Pendulous Fall" along with a bonus DVD containing the video for the album's title track, "Ghost Opera", shot by director Ivan Colic of Serbia’s ICode Team as well as the making of the “Ghost Opera” video.  The Limited Edition will contain a special extended booklet as well.

SPV/Steamhammer Records will release a strictly limited free 1-track single CD of “Ghost Opera” to be handed out to fans attending the European Tour in March, April and May 2007.
(Fans will get the single for free at the merchandise booth!)

10 Jahre Kanal K – die spezielle Geburtstagsfete

Am 1. April wird das Aarg. Radio Kanal K 10 Jahre alt. Zu diesem Geburtstag hat sich der grösste nicht-kommerzielle Sender der Schweiz etwas ganz besonderes einfallen lassen: Als einziges Schweizer Radio sendet die Station regelmässig Live-Sessions und lässt  nun vier der angesagtesten, coolsten Pop- und Rockbands aus seiner Senderegion live im Radiostudio spielen – mit ihrer ganzen Anlage.

Die Live-Sessions sind zum Markenzeichen des Aargauer Senders geworden. Die Idee entwickelt und umgesetzt hat die Sende-Equipe vom Indie-Block: Seit den frühen 90er-Jahren, seit den ersten Sendungen des Kanal-K-Vorgängerradios Aargauer Regionalradio, lädt sie regelmässig am Montagabend Bands ins enge Studio ein, wo sie mit ihrer ganzen Anlage live spielen. Die Lovebugs waren schon da, Baschi and the Fucking Beautiful, von Favez bis My Name is George – alles, was in der Schweizer Musikszene  angesagt ist. Pate stand die vor drei Jahren verstorbene britische Radiolegende John Peel, das grosse Vorbild des Indie-Block-Teams: Auch Peel lud regelmässig Bands zu Livesessions in die BBC-Studios ein und spielte die Musik neuer Bands – oft vor allen anderen. Das ist auch dem Indie-Block-Team schon mehrmals gelungen: Oasis und Nirvana beispielsweise waren in dieser Sendung zum ersten Mal in der Schweiz überhaupt zu hören.

Für die Geburtstagssause des Senders am 1. April scheut Kanal K nun keinen Aufwand: Vier Bands aus dem grossen Sendegebiet sind eingeladen und werden am Sonntagnachmittag live im Studio spielen. Das ganze wird natürlich live übertragen.

Weil das Konzept in der Clubszene und bei den Medien grossen Anklang fand, ist daraus ein weiteres Projekt entstanden: Unter dem Namen „Kanal K on tour“ gehen Spencer und Freakuency mit jeweils immer anderen Bands und Radio-DJs/DJanes auf Tour. Die ersten fünf Daten stehen, weitere folgen.

 CEPHALIC CARNAGE

CEPHALIC CARNAGE has completed work on their brand new full-length, titled Xenosapien.

Xenosapien was recorded by the band and long-time producer / engineer Dave Otero in their studio in Denver, CO. Advance song titles include: “Endless Cycle of Violence”, “Touched by an Angel”, “Vaporized”, “G.lobal O.verhaul D.vice”, and “Ov Vicissitude”. Xenosapien is scheduled for a May 29 North American release date (May 28 internationally) and is available for a limited-time pre-order special now at this location.

Additionally, CEPHALIC CARNAGE has announced the first European leg of the ‘Xenosapien World Tour.’ This tour will kick-off on May 4 in Utrecht, Netherlands and includes the band’s first headlining U.K. tour in over two years.  PARADISE LOST

British gothic metallers PARADISE LOST will release their 11th album, "In Requiem", in the U.S. on June 5 via Century Media Records. The artwork for the CD was created by Seth Siro Anton, who was the artwork designer for the group's last album, "Paradise Lost". The CD was produced by Rhys Fulber (FEAR FACTORY, FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY) and mixed by Mike Fraser (SLIPKNOT) and marks a return to their heavy trademark sound. "The melancholic atmosphere is as oppressive as ever, but this go round the gloom is fused with an equal amount of dense, punishing riffs," according to a press release.

As previously reported, PARADISE LOST has been confirmed as the support act for NIGHTWISH on their upcoming North American tour. The trek will be only PARADISE LOST's third visit to the U.S. after previously supporting MORBID ANGEL and OPETH.

Commented PARADISE LOST singer Nick Holmes: "We can't wait to get to the U.S. on a great tour, and try and make an impact after years of focusing on Europe."

PARADISE LOST will play an exclusive show in London at Camden's Koko on April 12. The band will perform songs from across their ten-album career which will be filmed for the definitive DVD, entitled "From Gothic to Paradise Lost", to be released later this year.

Finland's AMORPHIS has been confirmed for the Wave Gotik Treffen festival, set to take place May 25-28 in Leipzig, Germany. Also scheduled to appear are MOONSPELL, CRUACHAN, SUIDAKRA, PRIMORDIAL, EISBRECHER and REFLEXION, among many others.

AMORPHIS recently finished recording its new CD at Sonic Pump studios in Helsinki, Finland. Mixing duties will be handled by Mikko Karmila (NIGHTWISH, STRATOVARIUS) at Finnvox studios.

 TAROT

TAROT, the Finnish group led by NIGHTWISH/ex-SINERGY bassist Marco Hietala, has been confirmed for the Artmania Festival, set to take place June 15-17 in Sibiu, Romania. Also schuduled to appear are MY DYING BRIDE, HAGGARD and THE GATHERING. More bands will be announced soon.

Sibiu was selected as the "European cultural capital" in 2007.

TAROT released its latest album, entitled "Crows Fly Black", in continental Europe on January 22. The CD was issued in Finland in late October.

 XICON

Switzerland-based metal band XICON has signed an exclusive, worlwide deal with the French label Thundering Records for a large-scale release of its debut full-length album, "Theogony". In 2006, XICON signed with Swiss record label Aurora Music for the promotion and distribution of "Theogony" in Switzerland exclusively.

"Theogony" was recorded, engineered, produced and mixed at by Patrick Aeby, assisted by Dom Favez. Patrick is the well-known ex-drummer and producer of KROKUS' gold certified album "Rock the Block" while Dom Favez is currently is currently involved in the same band as a guitarist.

In their almost 20 year long career, the legendary quartet has evolved from Black Metal to a unique form of Dark Metal, heavily infused with electronics and grooves. SAMAEL´s eighth album is called "Solar Soul" and was recorded in Switzerland during fall 2006. DARK TRANQUILLITY AL GODS OF METAL 2007!

Novità per quanto riguarda la line up di Domenica 3 Giugno. Infatti Porcupine Tree non potranno essere presenti a causa di sopraggiunti impegni promozionali che quel giorno non permetteranno alla band di essere in tempo in Italia per l’esibizione al festival. Niente paura però, i sostituiti sono già confermati e si tratta di una band molto amata nel nostro paese ovvero i DARK TRANQUILLITY che pubblicheranno il 20 aprile il nuovo album ‘Fiction’ (Century Media/Emi).
