New
album details |
Helmuth
comments on the new
album:
Cheers
demons, guess some of
you are hungry for
info on the
recordings. Well, the
first two sessions are
finished and let me
tell you working with
Andy Classen is just
awesome, never before
recorded on better
equipment in my life. |
 |
Belphegor’s
sound has
never been so
massive and
fresh, and I'm
more than sure
that this
album gained a
new dimension
for the band (
for example,
i’m doing
all the
chanting and
backing vocals
on my own, I
practised a
lot to handle
that
epic-sounding
shit haha, and
i’m very
proud of the
result...).
This album
will be a new
step forward
for Belphegor,
I spent all my
energy in the
last months on
this album. A
lot of new
elements and a
higher level
of composition
and structure
are added as
well, besides
you will hear
the most
aggressive and
rawest vocal
work I’ve
ever done.
No bullshit
when I say we
will give you
the strongest
opus we’ve
ever made, be
prepared! |
|
On
Wednesday the 25th of
January ‘06 the band
are beginning the 3rd
and last
studio-session,
recording the
chaos-lead-guitars,
Helmuth will be
grunting’ in the
missing vocal work for
three tunes, and the
crew will create some
samples and in/outro
stuff. |
Sigurd
(guitar -
foundation
member)
mentioned some
of the titles:
Hi
all out there,
the 9 tracks
have reached a
"new
level" of
dynamic, we
try to bring
out the best
of the
potential we
have, we
worked for the
first time
with two
different
guitar tunes -
and very
unconventional
moods in the
hertz area, to
let it all
sound more
monumental.
The album
title isn’t
set yet, but
will follow
soon, here are
a list of some
new
sound-collages,
"Throne
Of
Sacrilege",
"Flammandus
Et Contemtus",
"Bluhtsturm
Erotica",
"Belphegor
– Hell’s
Ambassador",... |

Hreidmarr
vocalist for raging
symphonic black metallists ANOREXIA
NERVOSA
has left the band and
comments :
"
Leaving ANOREXIA
NERVOSA was
definitely not the easiest
thing to do as we've shared
so much during our time
together as this band had
become a vivid part of my
daily life. For 7 years, the
band has been giving me so
many opportunities on a
musical and human level and
has heavily contributed
to become the person
I'm today.
Still,
I honestly thought I had
reached the end of a
personal era with the
album 'Redemption
Process'
and I now feel the need to take
a different path. I'm also
absolutely proud of what I
have been able to achieve
with the rest of the band
members who will
always remain my best
friends and I wish them the
very best for the
future."

We have already started to

many levels. A big
thanks goes out to all the
people that has auditioned
for us or sent us vocal
material.
Secondly, we want to
announce the departure of

Angtoria

|
More
guest appearances on ANGTORIA´s
debut Album "God has
a plan for us all"
have just been made
official
and
below is the official
statement issued by
Sarah regarding this
matter:
Statement from Sarah:
"With a few technical
hitche's but thing's
running to plan, we have
finally
recorded the bass! My
search for a bassist
wasn't hard, I had two in
mind,
equally as talented and
equally as amazing! Ryan
Sinn from The Distillers
&
Dave Pybus from Cradle of
Filth/Six Six Six
Record's.
Due to budget & time,
Dave did the dirty job. It
made sense because he
does´nt live far from me.
Personally it's a shame we
couldn´t have had two
bass players! The track's
were recorded in
Springvale Recording
Studio's by
Mark Harwood, who is
famous for various Cradle
Of Filth work &
Extreme Noise
Terror, amongst other's.
Finally, a dream come true
for me! A song with Aaron
from My Dying Bride.
I´ve waited year's to
sing with his immaculate
voice! It's at last
happened.
No title for the track as
of yet but the lyric's
have been written by the
both of us"

the recording and the
progress can be found in

today news about MALEVOLENT
CREATION - SKYLARK - SOIL
|

Malevolent Creation
|
|
Phil Fasciana
from Malevolent
Creation has posted on
the official website following
statement:
"I
wanted to tell you is that
Kyle has just announced that
he can't do the tour in europe
with us due to personal
reasons and instead of
canceling another tour because
of Kyle and his personal
problems we have contacted
original vocalist Brett
Hoffman to do the tour and he
accepted our offer and is
flying down to Florida next
week to rehearse with the band
until we leave in Jan 3rd. We
simply cannot keep canceling
tours because of Kyle and let
down our fans and the
promoters and booking agent's
who spend a lot of time and
money on these tours.We cannot
afford to lose our credibility
as a touring band so this is
how it has to be if we wish to
continue!!!!
This is really great news for
a lot of fans and also marks
the return of the original 4
band members(me.Jon
Rubin,Jason Blachowicz and
Brett Hoffman)together for the
first time since our first
european tours in 1991 and
1994 with this line up.If all
goes well on this tour we may
replace Kyle with Brett and
finish writing and recording
our 10th album and then do a
massive world tour for the
next 2 years!!!!
No One Can Destroy This
Malevolent Creation!!!!!!

Skylark
|
|
Italian
symphonic power metallers SKYLARK
have just come back from New
York where they mastered two
acoustic songs (voice,
orchestra, acoustic guitar)
with George Marino at
the Sterling Sound.
These two new songs will be
included in a special
section of the band's
upcoming record, entitled "Divine
Gates Part 3 - The Last
Gate". No further
information is currently
available.
SKYLARK earlier in
the year issued a
compilation, entitled "In
the Heart of the
Princess", through Scarlet
Records. Conceived to
celebrate the band's 10-year
anniversary, this double
"best of" includes
all the major SKYLARK
hits chosen by Japanese fans
after a web poll. There are
also two brand-new songs, "Mt.
Fuji" (edit
version) and "Last
Battle", plus three
remakes, "Little
Girl", "The
Princess' Day" (this
one fully revisited) and
"Dream".

Soil
|
|
Chicago's SOIL
are currently mastering
their new album for a
tentative February/March
2006 release via DRT
Entertainment.
Commented the band's
guitarist Shaun Glass:
"The album is being
mastered now. This is the
final stages of audio,
making sure this thing
sounds even bigger than it
does now. Also, a new song
will be going out after the
holidays for all you net
junkies. We promise the
track will pack a punch and
a hook that won't leave your
head. Also we have been
jamming on some new and
classic SOIL songs
preparing for the U.K. tour
in January 2006. We think it
will be a good balance of
our songs. Don't expect any
covers as we will leave that
up to the bar band that is
out there playing our songs
(instead of their own; how
sad)."
SOIL's follow-up to
last year's "Redefine"
was recorded and mixed at Bomb
Shelter studios in Los
Angeles, California with
producer Ulrich Wild
(STATIC-X, TAPROOT).
The upcoming CD will be the
group's first to feature
singer A.J. Cavalier,
who previously fronted the
California-based DIESEL
MACHINE (also featuring
ex-DAMAGEPLAN
frontman Patrick Lachman
on guitar). The band's
original vocalist, Ryan
McCombs, has since
joined the Texas act DROWNING
POOL.

today news about SUMMER
BREEZE - NOVEMBERS DOOM
|

Summer Breeze
|
|
FINNTROLL
and FEAR MY THOUGHTS
are the latest confirmed
bands for next year's
installment of the Summer
Breeze festival, set to
take place August 17-19,
2006 in the Ostalbkreis
district in Germany. Also
scheduled to appear are NEAERA,
SCARVE and LUMSK.
More bands will be announced
soon.

November's Doom/ Heathen
Crusade Festival
|
|
Chicago's NOVEMBERS
DOOM, who are
currently in the writing
process for their
still-untitled follow-up
to 2005's successful "The
Pale Haunt Departure"
(due out sometime in 2006
on The End Records),
will be taking a break
from studio work to take
part in the inaugural Heathen
Crusade Festival in
Minnesota in January.
About the upcoming
festival appearance,
singer Paul Kuhr
comments: "On January
21, 2006 NOVEMBERS DOOM
will be performing at the Heathen
Crusade Festival in
Minnesota, and it looks as
if this will be our only
live appearance until we
complete writing and
recording the new CD in
early 2006. For this
reason, we are very
excited to take a break
from the process to play
live. The fantastic lineup
for the Heathen Crusade
makes the break more then
worth while, as this is
looking to be one of the
best metal festivals in
the country so far, and
we're proud to be a part
of it.
"The last opportunity
we had to play in
Minnesota, I fell quite
ill, and the crowd was
treated to a NOVEMBERS
DOOM performance where
the vocal duties were
handled by guitarist Larry,
so this year, I get to
make it up to Minnesota
fans. We'll be playing a
mixture of material
spanning most of our CD
catalog, and a possibility
you may hear something
from the upcoming CD as
well. Make your travel
arrangements for this one,
it's going to be worth
it!"
Also scheduled to appear
are Finland's MOONSORROW,
Ireland's PRIMORDIAL,
Sweden's THYRFING, THE
CHASM, TYPHUS
and TODESBONDEN.
Tickets are $25 in
advance, $30 day of show.

today news about PAPA
ROACH - VADER - AGALLOCH
|

Papa Roach
|
|
MTV.com
is reporting that PAPA
ROACH have
commenced work on the
follow-up to "Getting
Away with Murder"
in Los Angeles.
"We're renting a
mansion together and we're
gonna take a month and write
music and live together and
just go crazy
monk-style," frontman Jacoby
Shaddix told MTV.com.
"This is the first time
we've done that. It was kind
of inspired by LED
ZEPPELIN going and doing
records in a castle [and] RED
HOT CHILI PEPPERS in the
Houdini mansion up in the
Hollywood Hills. It's kind
of a long time coming and
just a dream that we've had,
so I'm excited."
"Murder"
producer Howard Benson
will again be behind the
boards, and Shaddix
said to expect an even more
drastic transition from
their rap-rock sound of the
past (à la "Last
Resort") to
straight rock.
"Floor-to-floor rock
and roll, dirty nasty, a
little more filth, a little
more fun," he said of
their intended evolution.
"I've been listening to
a lot of records like AC/DC,
MÖTLEY CRÜE, but
definitely listening to a
lot of roots rock that I was
listening to growing up and
also a lot of current stuff
too. I'm a music whore. I
mix it up."
PAPA ROACH have just
released a DVD, "Live
& Murderous in
Chicago", which
combines live footage with
backstage material, or
"typical rock-and-roll
debauchery," as Shaddix
put it.
"Chicago's one of our
favorite cities to rock and
we set up there and we just
murdered it," he added.
"The thing is we didn't
shoot like four different
shows and pull the best
stuff. We just set up one
night, got the camera crew
there and had one shot to
nail it or one shot to
destroy it. And we
definitely nailed it."
"Getting Away with
Murder" has sold
1.02 million copies in the
United States, according to Nielsen
SoundScan.

Agalloch
|
|
Portland,
Oregon's AGALLOCH
have entered the studio to
begin pre-production work
for their third
full-length album,
entitled "Ashes
Against the Grain".
The recording process will
begin December 10 and the
band hopes to have the
album finished by
mid-January. As usual the
band will be working with Ronn
Chick, who has
engineered and produced
both of their previous
albums.
Commenting on the new
material,
guitarist/vocalist John
Haughm said, "It
is huge, bleak, and more
rock-based than previous
albums. I am confident
this will be our darkest
and most sonically intense
record yet."

and THE ABSENCE.
As previously reported, Candlelight
Records USA has set a
January 24, 2006 release
date for the new mini-CD
from VADER,
entitled "The Art
of War". This
special mini-album
contains six brand new
songs ("Para
Bellum!!!", "This
Is The War", "Lead
Us!!!", "Banners
On The Wind", "What
Colour Is Your
Blood?", "Death
In Silence") and
was recorded at Hertz
Studio in Bialystok,
Poland, with the Wieslawscy
brothers at the helm. The
MCD also features the
band's new video clip
(created by Arek Jurcan
in 3D systems, well known
from computer games) for
the track "This Is
The War".
