Begin work on new album; The Eternal Anger Tour 2006 OSLO, NORWAY - SUSPERIA (Dimmu Borgir, Old Mans Child, Satyricon) entered StrandStudio in Oslo, Norway at the beginning of August to start work on their fourth studio album, the follow up to 2004's acclaimed release 'Unlimited'. The band are once again working with Marius Strand, who previously assisted Susperia on 2005's Norwegian Top 20 hit, the 'Devil May Care' EP. Recording is expected to be completed by the end of September. Susperia then head out on a short tour in October before returning to Dug Out Studios, Sweden in November to complete the final mix with Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah, Soilwork). A release is planned for early 2007 through the TABU label in Europe and Candlelight Records in the USA.
No name for the album has
been announced yet, but song titles revealed so far are 'More'
(which Susperia performed at this years Inferno Festival in
Norway), 'Cut From Stone', 'Distant
Memory' and 'The Clone'
The band, Athera
- vocals, Elvorn and Cyrus - guitars, Memnock - bass and
Tjodalv - drums, have added a further date to those previously
announced. They will perform at the Motstoy Festival,
Notodden, Norway on Friday 6th October 2006. The
bands current confirmed dates for October are:

In other news, bass
guitarist Memnock is currently featuring in an eight part TV documentary
series on Norway's TVRomerike, charting the build
up to his recent wedding. As well as capturing the big day, TV
crews spent several months following the couple's preparations.
The series also encompasses takes in Memnock at work with
Susperia at rehearsals, in the recording studio and in concert.
Susperia released
their third full-length album 'Unlimited' in
2004 on the TABU label in Europe and Candlelight
in the USA. It has continued to show growth to become the bands
best selling album to date, exceeding the performance of
previous albums 'Vindication' and 'Predominance',
which were released by Nuclear Blast. 'Unlimited charted at No.43
on Norway's Official Album Charts. Susperia went on to achieve a
Top 20 hit in Norway last year with the 'Devil May Care' EP
peaking at No. 19 on the official singles chart. Recently the band
secured equipment endorsements with prominent companies Pearl
Drums, Rotosound strings and Laney backline.
Finally Superia will shortly re-launch their redesigned website. After many problems with hackers and the like the band have decided to nuke the old site and start from scratch. This should be good news to all the frustrated fans who have made their thought's well known over the past year.

'Alone' details revealed Texas'

through Massacre Records on November 10. A deal is
currently being negotiated with an as-yet-undisclosed label for a

DVD Shoot in Bochum cancelled NEVERMORE's September 12, 2006 concert at the Zeche club in Bochum, Germany — which was scheduled to be filmed for an upcoming DVD — was cancelled after singer Warrel Dane was taken ill (allegedly with a virus infection) and had to be hospitalized. No further information is currently available. |

Debut Album to receive U.S. release in October ANGTORIA,
the new Swedish/British orchestral/metal band featuring female

OF FILTH bassist Dave Pybus and Tommy Rehn (MOAHNI
MOAHNA), will release its debut album, "God Has a Plan

Guitarist Holma quits HYPOCRISY
guitarist Andreas Holma has officially quit the band, according to a
posting on the Swedish group's web site. Holma apparently left the
band because he is "not motivated anymore" and is no longer
interested in touring." He will now concentrate on his own project, the
details of which have yet to be revealed. |
