Dovevano, come da regolamento, essere un totale di cinque ma purtroppo una band non si è resa reperibile e per problemi di tempistica e logistica abbiamo dovuto procedere comunque con la comunicazione.

SUSPERIA

OSLO, NORWAY- Norwegian thrashers SUSPERIA have issued further details of their previously announced appearance at this years Canarias Hard and Heavy Meeting which takes place at Maspalomas, Gran Canaria in the Canary Isles on 5th and 6th December 2008. The band have been confirmed as headliners on Saturday 6th December 2008. Other acts set to appear at the event include Vicious Art, Infektor and Esclavitud.

SUSPERIA are currently working on the follow up to their 2007 release 'Cut From Stone'. The band have been working continuously throughout the year and pre-production is now nearing completion on approximately ten songs. Commenting on the work to date, SUSPERIA recently stated that "Our writing sessions have had a good vibe going on, with input coming from all of us. We've disciplined ourselves more this time round and we're happy with the way it's going. It's a mix of hard and fast songs with some nice touches of melody " A tentative release is scheduled for early 2009.

SUSPERIA released their fourth studio album, "Cut from Stone", in 2007 through the TABU label in Europe and Candlelight Records in the USA. It entered the Norwegian chart at position No.18 and was the No.1 most added album on the influential CMJ Loud Rock and FMQB radio charts in the U.S.A. ‘Cut From Stone‘ was recorded at Strand Studio, Oslo, Norway during 2006. The mix was completed by Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah, Soilwork) at Dug Out Studios in Uppsala, Sweden, with the production handled by SUSPERIA and Marius Strand.

Fan filmed video footage of SUSPERIA performing at the Metal Rock Festival in Lillehammer, Norway on 16th August can be viewed at this location.

STRATOVARIUS

STRATOVARIUS RETURNS IN 2009
Live gigs and new album with Matias Kupiainen on guitar

Finnish melodic power metal legends Stratovarius are breaking the silence since guitar player Timo Tolkki left the band. They will return with a new studio album in 2009. It is a positive and powerful record that the band's fans all over the world are certain to take to their hearts.

"After Tolkki gave his blessing for us to go on without him, and after writing music together again this summer and a lot of thought, we have decided to carry the legacy of Stratovarius into the future", says Jens Johansson.

"We are all very excited about the record and about playing Stratovarius music live to our fans. We can't wait.", adds Timo Kotipelto.

The new guitar player is 25-year old Finnish guitar phantom Matias Kupiainen. Jörg Michael says, in Matias we found new character who fits perfectly with his way of melodic guitar shredding, he is a killer player, a 'Wunderkind' from Finland!"

The first two festival dates for 2009 have been confirmed already:

HELHEIM

+++ ANNOUNCE PRE-TOUR COMPETITION WITH DAILY PRIZES +++ PANCHRYSIA JOINS TOUR.

Norwegian bands HELHEIM, VULTURE INDUSTRIES and ATROX will be running a daily competition in the run up to their November “Vikings, Villains and Vultures” European tour. The competition is set to run for 14 days starting Friday 24 October with the final day being Thursday 6 November - the day before the start of the tour. Each band will be featured daily on a rotational basis, and the contest will consist of a question about the day’s band, with band merchandise as the prize.

Also included in the competition will be Black Metallers PANCHRYSIA who have just been announced as a late addition to the 9-date tour, and will be playing on 6 of the dates. Label mates of both HELHEIM and VULTURE INDUSTRIES, the Belgian band this year released “Deathcult Salvation”, their first album on Dark Essence. Produced by Magnus “DEVO” Andersson (MARDUK), the album also features guest vocals from Mortuus (MARDUK, FUNERAL MIST) and Leen Den Haes (BINT).

According to a spokesperson for the bands, the whole idea of the competition is for the fans and the bands to have a bit of fun, so a prior, in-depth, knowledge of the bands will definitely not be needed. Dark Essence Records have set up a dedicated page that will have both the questions, and links to where the answers can be found. Siamo spiacenti di annunciare la cancellazione del tour europeo, e quindi anche delle date italiane previste in 5 città tra il 19 e il 23 Novembre, che avrebbe vsto come protagonisti i deathsters americani MALEVOLENT CREATION in compagnia di VITAL REMAINS e WYKKED WYTCH. Ci è giunta comunicazione dalla band stessa, tramite le seguenti dichiarazioni:

“Malevolent Creation are very disappointed to announce the Unfortunate Cancellation of the 'DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR TOUR' which was booked for November 2008 in Europe. The situation was beyond the bands control as they never received the contracts or plane tickets they we're promised by Yohan and Jenny of X Factor Booking Agency. Instead it was brought to the bands attention that the Agency was using the tour to Embezzle money from the venue deposits! Bands and promoters BEWARE! Do not trust this agency as they are likely to end-up in Jail! 'Serves them right for being such scumbags!''Karma's a bitch!' The band is moving forward and looking to reschedule the tour through an agency with a better reputation with Vital Remains for early next year following a Devastatingly brutal new CD from this MALEVOLENT CREATION!!”
