![]() Ireland's FOR RUIN confirm show with Rotting Christ and Paradise Lost.
Ireland's For Ruin have confirmed some live
dates for early 2009, playing alongside Paradise Lost and Rotting
Christ.
The band completed a ten track pre-production
demo of their second album
in October and the album as yet remains
untitled.
The band says: "We have a few title ideas
for the album
that we're throwing about... the new album is full of the aggression and harmonies from before and will have a production to match the quality of the songs. There's 2 instrumental songs in there this time; one is in the vein of "December" while the other is probably the fastest and most aggressive song we've written to date". Writing duties were shared among the band this time around and some of the working song titles include "Deluge", "Solace", "Elysium" and "Recoil". Artwork for the album will be by Paul McCarroll who´s work has graced many quality releases (Primordial etc.). The recording is scheduled to begin on Jan 1st '09 in Cork with Alwyn Walker of Komodo Studios (http://www.komodorecordings.com/) as the on-location producer for the album. Look for a release on Sentinel Records in mid '09. More updates on the recording will follow at www.forruin.com For Ruin spent much of 2008 writing and rehearsing material for the new album which will be the first to feature bassist Pete Lawlor and original drummer Steve O'Connell, along with Drew Myers and John Murphy. Performing only two shows (photo by Simon Ward) in 2008 (with Primordial in Dublin and Skyforger in London), 2009 will be a busy year for the band who will play two shows in the early part of 2009. International shows will be announced upon the album's release. The conifrmed dates for now are: - March 13th '09, An Cruiscin Lán, Cork, Ireland. - April 25th '09, Full Metal Racket, Belfast, NI (with Paradise Lost & Rotting Christ).

THE
PUSSYBATS veröffentlichen Debütalbum am 23. Januar Am
23. Januar (UK: 26. Januar) 2009 veröffentlichen die deutschen
Alternative-Rocker (Rock, Gothic, …..) THE
PUSSYBATS ihr langerwartetes Debütalbum „Famous Last Songs“
weltweit via Black
Rain Records.
TO SALLY, THE 69 EYES, FRONT 242 und JESUS ON EXTASY eine stetig wachsende
Fangemeinde. Die erste Single "No Romeo" erschien bereits im
Sommer 2008
'Famous
Last Songs' eben!" 1.

pussybats press statement 11/2008 – international THE
PUSSYBATS to release debut album on January 23rd On
January 23rd ( THE
PUSSYBATS are to release their long-awaited debut album "Famous
Last Songs“ worldwide
via Black Rain Records. It has been produced by Chai Deveraux (known as the
guitarist of the industrial-glam-rock-band JESUS ON EXTASY) and
Hahn&Hahn, a team
which has already worked with acts like NENA, KIM WILDE and the FARMER BOYS. Founded
in 2006, the band soon won one of contests
(Sonic Seducer „Battle Of The Bands“), played with the likes of THE
69 EYES, FRONT
242 or SUBWAY TO SALLY on numerous festivals and shows all over and
gathered a constantly growing fanbase. After the deal with Black Rain
Records and the
release of the first single "No Romeo“ in summer 2008, the four
guys went straight into
the studio to go for another milestone in their young musical career:
recording a full-length
album. In this effect a lot of heart, soul, sweat and tears have been
put into every
aspect of the production. "The Most Beautiful Tales End Sadly“,
for example, features
not only a contrabass, but also a guest pianist and vocalist, LEANDRA.
The songs
as a whole are diverse – in between a goodbye kiss and a kick in the
ass - but also follow
a clear, straight line: emotions instead of academics, catchiness,
rock'n'roll instead
of arty gimmicks. Or, as the band themselves put it: "And even if
we'd been struck
by lightning the very next day, we'd have known that we'd put everything
into that
record we'd had to offer and left a legacy to be proud of! These could
indeed be our
'Famous Last Songs'.“ 12.
